Our Story

We started TranVid because we were frustrated with how difficult it was to get clean, readable text out of YouTube videos. We found ourselves constantly pausing, typing, and rewinding while trying to take notes from lectures or pull quotes from interviews. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we built TranVid—a simple, fast, and free tool to download transcripts. But we didn't stop there. We added AI capabilities to automatically summarize long videos and generate interactive mind maps to help visual learners quickly grasp complex topics.
